Lovely out of town and very comfortable villas. Hosts and staff are wonderful and the food is excellent.
The owners and staff are extremely warm and friendly. The hospitality and food are excellent, we thoroughly enjoyed two delicious dinner meals, plus plentiful breakfast. The rooms are very well appointed and spacious. The bed was super comfy. The location is out of town and very peaceful. Very good value for money.

Nice view, friendly staff - a lovely quiet place.
The staff and the owner were lovely - all very kind and helpful. Out room was clean and comfortable. The view was very nice, we managed to see a wild porcupine, wild pigs, wild monkeys and some squirrels just from the terrace. The food (they also offer dinner) was very good, too. The location is a bit out of town, but if you want some quite and enjoy fresh air it's the best you can do. I totally recommend. Another plus: The owner will help you book any sorts of trips for a reasonable price.

Exceptional
We had a wonderful time at Hanthana House! The hotel is located in the beautiful hilltops of Kandy with lovely views, a nice place to stay away from the noise of the city.

We will come back when we return through Sri Lanka
I loved everything about this accommodation, the hospitality with which the whole family treats you, how careful they are in every corner and the dinners and breakfasts they prepare are delicious. We felt at home. The views also towards the mountain are unbeatable, you are 15 minutes from the city of Kandy but away from the bud, you are in the high area of mountains surrounded by lots of vegetation.

I want to stay again
The owner, Pathi, was very kind and helpful. He also arranged for a car and a tuk-tuk (it's difficult to get a driver on PickMe, probably because it's far from the city). The car to Negombo was cheap at $60. All the staff were very friendly and the atmosphere of the hotel was good. It's on a hill, so it's quiet and cool. And the view outside the window was amazing. I was able to enjoy a wide view from the balcony. The room was spacious and the bathroom was nice. Wifi was also good. I was very satisfied with the delicious Sri Lankan home cooking at the restaurant.

Heaven in Kandy
The whole place was amazing.Tucked away in a private place away from the city centre, it overlooked a tiny forest..absolutely zen! Quiet, fresh refreshing mountain air in the morning....peaceful..a truly great getaway.Our huge room was gorgeous..housed 4 of us comfortably..we had a private balcony, living room, tea room...the bathroom was huge, spotless with toiletries, the shower area had stones that acted like a mini pedicure for our feet. Hot steaming shower..heavenly! We had a fantastic dinner that night...so much home cooked food. The hosts were simply warm people who were there to see to our every need...Breakfast too was good....we wished we could have stayed longer as the stay was too short to enjoy the place... Highly recommend them...if you wish to have a peaceful holiday in Kandy.

Very good
The food was absolutely delicious and the price for the food really reasonable. We had dinner at hanthana house every night because it was so good! Pati, the rest of the family and employes were very friendly and helpful at all times. The room and the bathroom were nice, with great views into the jungle from the balkony.

Highly recommended
Very nice hosts with good service. They even helped us with the rest of the planning of the holiday and gave us good tips on which Safari Tour is a good value for money. Also, the food was fantastic and they always arranged for us a tuk tuk driver and if necessary a taxi. The location offers a great view over the forest. Absolutely recommended!
