Hanthana House is approximately 15 minutes’ drive from Kandy in the foothills of the Hanthana Mountain Range, an area famous for cultivating some of the first tea grown on the island and the location of the Ceylon Tea Museum. Please be aware that a homestay is neither a hotel nor a guesthouse as you live and socialise with a family in their home. Think of it as an extension of your own home, with the usual creature comforts and may be no-one to make your bed or clean your room on a daily basis! The real experience is the interaction with a Sri Lankan family as they go about their daily life.
For stays of two nights or more, Hanthana House provides free transfers from the railway station or main post office in Kandy. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call +94 777 374 560 to arrange.
